Minimum requirements
There are a few minimum requirements to meet before you can sign up to drive with myRide:
- Meet the minimum age to drive in your city
- Have at least one year of licensed driving experience in the Bahamas
- Have a valid Public Service driver’s license
Required Documents
Share the following documentation:
- A valid Bahamian driver’s & public service license
- Passport or ID
- Proof of vehicle insurance
- A driver profile photo
- Must be a forward-facing, centered photo including the driver’s full face and top of shoulders, with no sunglasses
- Must be a photo only of the driver with no other subject in the frame, well-lit, and in focus; it cannot be a driver’s license photo or other printed photograph
Driver screening
MyRide reserves the rights prior to signing up, to require that you complete a police screening. This process will review your driving record and criminal history.
Vehicle Requirement
All vehicles being used for rides on the myRide app must meet the following requirements:
– must have 4 doors and be able to transport a minimum of 4 passengers
– vehicle models must not be older than 2006.
– title cannot be salvaged, reconstructed, or rebuilt
– cannot have any cosmetic damage, missing pieces or commercial branding
Drivers must be listed as an insured driver on the vehicle’s insurance policy. Please note that myRide cannot approve a vehicle if the driver’s name is not on the insurance document.
